What Does FileZilla, CoreFTP, and CyberDuck All Have In Common?

What Does FileZilla, CoreFTP, and CyberDuck All Have In Common?

Starting with the obvious FileZilla, CoreFTP, and CyberDuck are programs that are all free. Additionally they are all FTP servers, which stands for file transfer protocol. According to Wiki sources, "The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer computer files between a client and server on a computer network. FTP is built on a client-server model architecture and uses separate control and data connections between the client and the server." All of these programs are also all open source meaning they may have a few glitches but they will be suitable for most needs. Both FileZilla, CoreFTP, and CyberDuck encrypt information and data and is transferred over the Internet, whilst being protected from being seen across networks. Othe than that they don't have much else in common, which leads us to the only major differences between is what platform the user is on. FileZilla is for both PC and Mac, CoreFTP is for PC, and CyberDuck is for Mac an IOS.

Lab 1 Reflection Journal

In this lab we all made our first webpage! It was quite simple at first, a few lines of code and we were up and running. We opened with <html> and made titles, headings and a paragraph of what we thought HTML was and what Visual Design meant to us. I specifically stated, What is HTML? That's a question I walked into when I stepped into my junior year in the Digital Design class. I know that HTML stands for Hypertext Mark-up Language. From this I can deduce that this is a type of code because, ergo, I am in Digital Design and the name itself has language in it! I can also say that this language is used for designing a web site, so we are going to be dealing with a lot of browsers and URL, Uniform Resource Locators. Their are also HTML tags that are used to create these websites. We might be using Dream Weaver additionally because that's the main function of it, to create websites. Hopefully this course runs smoothly and not to stressful or frustrating especially being under pressure for minimal time. In the second paragraph with a break I wrote, <html> <head> <title> My First Webpage! </title> </head> <body> <h1> Hello World! </h1> <h2> My First Webpage </h2> <p> Web Design, where do I begin? My name is Thawsif Mursalin and I am a junior now in high school learning about Digital Design. But before I got to Digital Design my prerequisite class was web design. Web design was all about creativity and accuracy. The main application that we had to use was Photoshop. While using Photoshop most of our labs and projects were based on taking good pictures and finding clever ways to make those pictures stand out. I loved that class because you get to see yourself whenever you complete a project, like a reflection. How much work you put into it has a significant impact on what the outcome is. Even the slightest details are noticed so nothing is a wasted move. This is why I love web design, this is what web design means to me. Becoming the best version of myself. </p> </html>.
